Arrive in Liberia depending on your arrival time we will pick you up and take you to Arenal where the adventure begins at the base of Arenal Volcano, the perfect cone shaped Volcano has been erupting daily since 1968. Your time in Arenal will consist of adventure tour options such as Pure Trek Canyoning, hiking around the Volcano, white water rafting and visiting hot springs.

There are many milder activites as well such as walking along suspension bridges, visiting the Cano Negro wildlife refuge and a safari style boat ride in search of birds, monkeys, turtles, caimens, iguanas and more. With so many options we prefer to offer choices rather than a fixed selection therfore in our day by day descriptions we will include some of the options but you may add or remove tours to your itinerary.

In the Arenal area there are many hotel choices as well. Since we strongly believe that the highlight of Arenal area is the Volcano we will place you in a hotel with a view from your room. However at any given time some hotels will have a direct view of the active side of the Volcano while others will not. Over the past 3 years the Volcano has changed the direction of lava flow 4 times and it is likely to continue that trend over time. It is always possible to visit the active side of the volcano by vehicle.

After a few days amidst the majestic Arenal Volcano you will head north to the remarkably different ecosystem of Rincon de La Vieja. The Rincon de La Vieja Volcano is a giant fuming crater that is reachable after a rugged 3 hour hike only meant for the hardiest of hikers. If a rigorious hike is not for you then there are various easily acceisble waterfalls, mud baths and short rainforest hikes. Other activities include horseback riding, inter-tubing down a river, a combo of canopy and rapelling tour just to name a few.

After two nights at Hacienda Guachipelin in Rincon de La Vieja some R & R on the white sand beach of Tamarindo will be a welcome change to activities and adventure. The nice thing about Tamarindo is that there are many dining options, good opportunity to learn how to surf and plenty of space on the beach to find a quite area. From tamarindo there are a number of other beaches nearby that are worth visiting such as Playa Conchal and Play Flamingo. If you want a very subdued and quite beach experience we can provide an alternative beaches that match your preferences.
