Depending on your arrival time you will be transported directly to Arenal or will spend 1 night in a Central Valley area hotel and then taken to the Arenal Volcano area the following day.

For 2 days you will be spending your nights at the base of the Arenal Volcano amidst breathtaking views of the perfectly shaped cone. We have included two hotel options Campo Verde which is on the north side of the Volcano which is about 10 minutes drive from the town of La Fortuna. The other hotel option we have included is Cabinas El Castillo which offers spectacular Volcano and lake views at a very affordable price. However the distance to La Fortuna is 30 minutes.

After two nights in the Arenal Volcano you will have transport option on the way to the mysty cloud forest of Monteverde either the taxi-boat-tax transfer or the taxi-boat-horse transfer both are unique ways to traverse the beautiful terrain but obviously the 3 hour horse ride is more adventurous and will take more time.

Once in Monteverde you will be staying at a family owned and operated hotel Cabinas Bella Vista which offers fantastic views of the Childrens Eternal Rainforest and the Nicoya Peninsula. The Cabins are simple but the price is great and the view is outstanding. In Monteverde their are a variety of tour options in the epicenter of Costa Rica's eco tourism heritage. With only two days we feel experiencing a guided tour at the Monteverde Reserve and a Sky Trek zip line tour is a must. Other outstanding an unique activities include a night walk, the butterfly garden as well as an trip to the Selvatura adventrure Park. After a few days in the cool mountain air of the Monteverde Cloud forest a few days in the hot sun drenched beach of Samara will be a welcome change. Samara is a freindly beach town with a authentic Costa Rica atmosphere, lots of small businesses cooking up great food, selling hand made goods and offering boat tours around the beautiful bay. For your stay in Samara you will be based at the Mirador de Samara a fantastic hilltop hotel just 3 minutes walk from the beach.

After 3 nights in Samara you will be directly transfered to the international terminal of LIR or SJO. If you schedule requires we will bring you to a hotel the night before your flight so you will be able to catch your early morning departure.
