A full size car is a good choice for visiting some destinations in Costa Rica, but for many locations they are ill equipped to handle the area’s unpaved roads and mountainous terrain. For visitors who plan on staying around San Jose or driving only on main roads, a full size car is a comfortable way to navigate.
