On this tour you’ll hike a trail that covers 4.3 miles (7 km) of rainforest, and goes past two volcanic lakes. Your group will travel at a reasonable pace and take a break for lunch.

This all-day tour departs from La Fortuna early in the morning and returns in the evening. You’ll drive 1.5 hours through the plains of San Carlos. You’ll be in a reasonably small group with a driver and a guide.

Your hike will take you through a series of scenic pastures, which are located 2,624 feet (800 m) above sea level. You’ll pass the Hule Lagoon as well as a secondary lake on this hike. After you hike for around three to four hours your guide will serve lunch in a spot that has a panoramic view of the Hule Lagoon.

What to Bring

Hiking shoes, comfortable clothes, change of clothes, raincoat, bug spray, money for snacks and personal expenses.
