Papagayo Sport Fishing Tour
Playas del Coco (or Coconut Beach) is on the coast of the Guanacaste region, near a small beach town that has plenty of accommodations for visitors. This is a popular fishing beach for visitors and Costa Rican fishermen alike.

On your tour you have a chance of catching mahi-mahi, tuna, jack, roosterfish, mackerel, and marlin. This tour’s captain is Coco Beach local, and a fishing enthusiast. He will take you to the best spots where you are the most likely to reel in a sizable specimen. There is a cooler waiting for your fish so you can take your catch home.
Depending on the size of your group, you'll take your tour on one of the three following boats:
Raccoon is the smallest of the boats, with a 25-foot (7.6-m) hull and a 200 horsepower engine. 5 passengers can comfortably fit on this boat, as well as fishing rods, surfboards, and the rest of the equipment. The seats are cushioned and the Racoon has a stereo system.
La Guapa has a 28-foot (8.5-m) hull and a 150 horsepower engine. It has cushioned bench seats and a stereo system. This boat can comfortably fit around 7 people.
La Charanga is also 28 feet (8.5 m) long, with a walk-around layout.
There is a shaded area on the deck and a tower with a shaded seat for passengers that want to get a better look at the scenery. La Charanga also has a ladder to make it easy to get in and out of the water. You can listen to music on the stereo system, and rinse off using the onboard fresh water shower. This boat is ideal for a trip with up to 8 people.
