Pejibaye River Class I-II
The Pejibaye River is a tributary of the Reventazon River, in the Turrialba Valley, just two hours from San Jose. This is a great introductory river as it only has class I and II rapids, making it a perfect starter for first time rafters and children (ages 5 and up).
Rafters can feast their eyes on spectacular scenery and opportunities for wildlife viewing. Your bilingual guide will pick you up from your
San Jose hotel first thing in the morning. Once on the road, a stop will be made so guests can enjoy a typical breakfast alongside views of the Orosi valley. The group will then continue about one and a half hours to the Pejibaye River, where guides will be waiting to explain all safety procedures and guidelines.
Once on the river, you'll enjoy a fun ride down these mild rapids, allowing for ample swimming time and riding inner tubes. Lunch will be served on the riverbank. After the trip is over, you will be transported back to your hotel.
Trip includes: transportation, breakfast, lunch, all
rafting and safety equipment, bilingual guide
What to bring: sandals with a back strap or sneakers, cotton shirt, bathing suit, light jacket (depending on weather), change of clothes
