A winding cliff side road provides incredible picturesque vistas to those driving to Punta Islita.  The town is referred to as a “bustling artistic community” with a lovely local arts museum and charming white church and bell tower sitting proudly in the plaza. Laying in a small protective cove you’ll come upon Punta Islita Beach less than a mile long and connected to another beach called Corozalito, though still considered a part of Punta Islita. This beach is slightly larger with a mangrove swamp where visitors are likely spot nesting sea turtles nesting. 

The equally stunning beach of Playa Carrillo lies a short distance away and offers serenity and seclusion with its bay location just five miles from the popular beach town of Samara.  Samara is a great surf town with a host of accommodations, excellent restaurants and bars. Here you’ll find a perfect combination of leisure, peaceful ambiance, and adventure. 

While staying in Punta Islita or its surrounding area take time to explore the fabulous trails leading into the hills where you’ll walk amongst rich local vegetation, discover wildlife such as the Howler Monkeys as well as an abundance of bird life.
