Visit the remote and exotic Gandoca Manzanillo Refuge, home to amazing coastal Rainforests and stunning underwater marine life and coral reefs. Overlook the jungle from the top of the trees on a canopy tour, riding through the forest until you get your feet on the golden sand beach. Enjoy an entire afternoon on a kayaking and snorkeling tour where you can swim amongst exotic fish and view the outstanding beauty by boat.
The eco-friendly Hotel Almendros y Corales is committed to Sustainable tourism. Right in the middle of the rainforest there is a big bungalow with a massage table and a Jacuzzi available to all guests. Inside reception there is a souvenir shop where you will find local handcrafts made with wood and clay, handmade jewelry, indigenous arrows, masks and much more. The bar at this lodge offers a delightful sample of the Caribbean style ambiance fused with the natural sounds of the rainforest. Dine in the restaurant where you will be amongst the rainforest elements while enjoying the food that is delicately prepared by two stupendous chefs.
The hotel consists of 25 bungalows that lie under giant trees in a forest so dense that the sunrays hardly touch the ground. Each bungalow is placed over a stilted platform, with orchids hanging from the branches. All of these dreamy suites come with a rustic style wood canopy bed covered with beautiful mosquito netting drapes. There are Standard rooms, Junior, Suites, and Master Suites, all with private bathrooms and hot water. Some feature a Jacuzzi and full body standing mirrors, but all come complete with biodegradable shampoo and conditioner. It feels as though you've stepped into a fairytale.
