Costa Rica is roughly the size of West Virgina but depending on your desired route of travel or your time table domestic flights between destinations might be a good option. There are two providers of domestic flights in Costa Rica
(Sansa and Nature Air)and both of them use the San Jose metropolitan area as their main hub to connect between destinations. However Nature Air uses Pavas airport which is closer to downtown San Jose while Sansa operates at the San Juantamaria International airport (SJO) in Alajuela, keep this in mind when researching domestic routes.
