"OMG. This place was more than I ever dreamed. The boat ride there, hidden among all the trees, the darling little cabinas with rocking chairs on the porches to watch the monkeys, birds, and other amazing rain forest life, the communal dining room. I could go on and on and it rained the whole time we were there. AMAZING!!"

" All the accomodation was in rustic cabins, complete with rocking chairs on the verandah's, The rooms themselves were quite dark, but that seems to be the norm for Costa Rica, comprising of two beds, meshed windows, curtains for privacy and a ceiling fan, which was more than adequate, when we were there, there certainly wasn't the need for a/c. The bathroom had a large shower, towels, soap and shower gel. Perhaps the room could do with more hanging and storage space for clothes, but that really is a minor point. The food (which was included in the package) was served buffet style and was very good considering how many people they had to cater for. You could go up as many times as you liked so no problems for people like me who like big meals! "

The Pachira Lodge resides on 34 acres of land and is just 5 minutes from the Tortuguero National Park’s main entrance. Live this heavenly oasis nestled amidst the wilderness of Costa Rica's jungle. Tortuguero is a fabulous place to explore and take in the lush beauty of the flora and wildlife of Costa Rica especially its magnificent marine life. There are opportunities to kayak these waters, view nesting turtles, take walks on magical jungle trails, fish, ride horses down the beach and much more.
