Manta Raya’s speed allows for more time on the island and will get you back to San Jose, Jaco or Manuel Antonio in time for dinner.

The catamaran Manta Raya is equipped with two fresh water deck pools and two giant hammocks perfect for sunbathing on her expansive forward deck. On the return trip to Puntarenas, the oldest port and heart of commercial fishing in Costa Rica, our passengers have the opportunity to see different islands: the largest bird sanctuary in Central America for the Brown Pelican, the Magnificent Frigatebird and Brown Booby, the old prison of San Lucas, Negritos Biological Reserve plus islands that are Indigenous grave sites.

The Calypso lunch has been featured in Gourmet Magazine. The famous ceviche appetizer is so wonderful it won an international recipe contest.


What to Bring: Comfortable fresh clothes, bathing suit, suntan lotion, sun screen, a hat, soft-soled shoes or sandals, towels, extra cash for optional tours on the island, sun glasses, camera.
