"The hotel provided breakfast for us, even though we had an extremely early flight. That was greatly appreciated! Also, the sewing kit in the room was a lifesaver! "
"The hotel staff were very helpful and gave us very good directions on how to get to San Jose and back."
"The staffs at this hotel was great. They prepared breakfast for us in to go boxes because they knew our tour is picking us up early in the morning. It was a pleasant surprise.
"Delightful, would have spent longer if we had time. Unexpectedly lovely, rooms were huge, beds comfortable, breakfast good!"
"We only had breakfast here, but the buffet had everything you could want... fresh fruit, deserts, and any hot meals with eggs, pancake and so on. And the gallo pinto was awesome!"
"Beautiful hotel with great people working there!"
"Very personable. Room was very clean and large which was nice."
"The staff at the front desk were absolutely outstanding, offering important advice regarding airport departure issues, such as paying the departure taxes before getting in line for tickets. They packed us a brown bag breakfast before we headed for the airport. We have never seen such great personal service."
"We liked the room and the breakfast. It was also close to a little shopping center with an ATM and grocery store."
"I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It isn't a vacation place--you wouldn't want to come to Costa Rica and spend all your time in this airport hotel, but the people who work here are lovely, the rooms are large, the restaurant very good, and they have free international calls and free wifi. This was so appreciated when we couldn't get back to the states because of a major snow storm. We could call the airlines, change our reservations, etc., all without incurring fees for telephoning. They accommodated us an extra couple of nights, arranged for a tour for us so that we could see more of Costa Rica, held our luggage for us when we left for a hotel in Jaco for a couple of nights and welcomed us back as though we were old friends. Oh, and they have a business center where you can go on the internet, print your boarding passes, etc. "
"I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. I'll definitely stay here again. It was clean, friendly staff, large rooms. Better than expected for a one night stay at the airport."
"Adventure Inn was quite clean. The staff was awesome - Mary was most helpful. The hotel outweighed our expectations and we would definately plan on staying here again. "
"Good food & lots of it!! I loved all of the artwork!"
"Nice hotel. Friendly staff. We had to leave before breakfast was served and they offered to prepare a box of food for each of us."
"Nice hotel, clean, great food, nice area. We stayed overnight before our flight home. When we arrived, the staff made arrangements for the free shuttle to the airport for the time we needed. I think the hotel was right outside San Jose, which was fine. If we wanted to go into the city, we could take the bus or taxi which they could have arranged. There was also a pool but we did not use it. The shuttle was on time and very clean. Great service at this hotel."
"A good place to stay between San Jose Center and the Airport. Friendly, helpful staff. As with so many of the places we stayed, lots of little interesting details scattered throughout the hotel. "
"good for the late night arrival between flights but not very interesting if spending the afternoon there.
Good bar food and breakfast. "
"This hotel was perfect for our needs, returning to San Jose and transportation to the airport. The overall value was very good"
"Nice hotel - lots of attention to detail, close to the airport."
"Loved staying in this local-style hotel! The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly."
"As a first and last stay in Costa Rica, we couldn't ask for more. They eased us in to their country upon our arrival, and sent us on our way home with a box breakfast at 6:00am. They took care of everything for us!"
"This is a great place to stay when exiting the country because it is very close to the airport."
"Great place to stay in order to rest to begin our travels. Transportation from airport to Adventure Inn was nice due to driver meeting use holding a sign with our name on it. Nice Touch."
"This place was charming and the restaurant and breakfast was a pleasant surprise. "
"The hotel set up was nice. I would recommned it to others as a good transition stay upon arriving or before departing from SJO airport. I liked that there was a common area right outside of our rooms with computers and free internet access. We had an early morning departure (before the restaurant opened) so the staff prepared our breakfast sandwiches to go. This hotel was clean and comfortable. Had we realized that each room came with three queen beds we might have decided to pile into one room to save some $$."
"A fantastic city hotel with a lovely room and helpful staff. "
"This is a terrific hotel--with an emphasis on friendly staff, location and quality for reasonable rate."
"Great place for a starting off point to our vacation. Helpful staff -- even kept the kitchen open for a couple (not us) who arrived after it had closed. Clean."
