San Jose has a variety of restaurants, shops and museums. Within a short distance of the hotel Fleur de Lys you will find the National Museum, about the history of Costa Rica. The Gold Museum, with beautiful pre-Colombian artifacts and the Jade Museum are very interesting to visit as well. In the center of town are the National Theatre and various parks and markets to browse for souvenirs. The Central Valley has a lot to offer too, like the Poas or Irazu Volcano and La Paz Waterfalls.
