Lodge Las Ranas
The Lodge Las Ranas is located in Playa Sámara on the northwestern segment of Costa Rica's Pacific coastline. Playa Sámara is in the middle of Guanacaste Province, which is the driest and hottest of all Costa Rica's seven regions. As a result, even during the rainy season (Jun-Dec.), Playa Sámara boasts blue skies and an average daily temperature of 83 degrees F. Due to this dryness, Guanacaste is relatively mosquito free compared to other regions in Costa Rica.
Only a two-minute drive from the plethora of bars and restaurants in Playa Sámara, Lodge Las Ranas manages to feel tranquil and secluded. For those who feel like dining-in and relaxing, the hotel has an on-site Rancho style restaurant with views of Buena Vista beach, a secluded stretch of sand that has remained hidden to most tourists. Offering a diverse menu, the open-air restaurant is also the perfect place to take in a sunset over the Pacific Ocean. An amazing variety of Costa Rica's famed wildlife can be spotted from the pool terrace. Monkeys, parrots, and iguanas all reside in the tropical foliage surrounding Hotel Las Ranas, and give camera-ready guests excellent photo-ops daily.
