La Kukula offers guests an intimate jungle experience with 8 rooms each equipped with hot water, fans, and mosquito nets. Air Conditioning is not necessary since the temperature cools down at night from the nearby fresh mountain air. Each room has a private balcony with garden views.
At the Kukula Lodge you can eat breakfast while listening to the sounds of the jungle and observing sloths that frequent the hotel grounds. Other animals that come around often include iguanas, toucans and monkeys.

Absolutely loved staying in the rain forest at La Kukula Lodge! The food was fabulous. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I loved loved loved La Kukula Lodge! Beautiful location in the forest but still within walking distance from restaurants. The variety of animals living on the grounds is amazing and there is something new to see every day. If you're looking for a party place, this is not it. If you are looking to enjoy a beautiful location and calming surroundings within walking distance of the ocean, then this is the place for you. Don't plan on sleeping in too much because there is a troop of Howler monkeys living in the trees!! :D
