Casa Camarona is located on the tropical Caribbean coast, in the magical town of Puerto Viejo. The coast is rich in lush vegetation, exotic beaches and a mixture of cultures. Puerto Viejo is a small, yet bustling village with the sounds of live reggae music and a collection of gorgeous beaches and activities where you can enjoy the distinct culture and exuberant flora and fauna of the area.
The region is popular for its excellent surfing conditions as well as snorkeling along the rich and colorful coast. Learn more about the local vegetation and butterflies on a tour of the botanical and butterfly gardens or explore the abounding nature on a horseback excursion. Walk the meandering trails of the Cahuita National Park, through jungle and stunning white sand beaches or submerge yourself in the refreshing, clear-blue waters that are perfect for swimming, diving and snorkeling. Ocean and river fishing are also possible through local boat owners.

Nestled in the exotic tropical gardens and white sand beach of Playa Cocles is where you'll find the hardwood bungalows. The accommodations are simple and rustic, designed in Caribbean architecture, utilizing wood and wide corridors. This secluded small lodge of only 20 beach front rooms is surrounded by a wildlife refuge and is perfect for relaxation and romance. All rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling-fans, and a private bathroom with a warm water shower.
