Activities in the area range from surfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving to white water rafting, estuary tours, and visiting turtle nesting sites. Just 5 km away, Playa Flamingo is home to Costa Rica's largest marina, where visitors can take sunset sailing tours and sport fishing trips. From the Brasillito/Conchal area many visitors set off on excursions to Rincon de la Vieja and Palo Verde National Park.
The Conchal Hotel offers 10 rooms of cozy comfort and style. With whitewashed walls, wooden ceiling beams, wrought iron beds, and tiled floors, the rooms carry a simple elegance and natural appeal. Much of the furniture is locally handmade. The rooms sit amid the privacy of lush tropical gardening, and around the pool area there are chairs for lounging after a refreshing dip in the water.
The three-storey ranchero building provides an open-air social area with the hotel reception, comfortable seating, and the breakfast and bar area. Made from local natural materials, the ranchero has a rustic, treehouse feel. At the top level, guests can relax in swinging hammocks and enjoy the peaceful ocean breezes. Complimentary breakfast in the ranchero includes cereals, toast, and fresh fruits. Teas, coffee, and water are available to guests throughout the day. In the evening, the restaurant offers excellent personal service and a changing menu that includes fresh-fish catches and delicious vegetarian specialties.

Simon and Hilda and all the staff were excellent! Great breakfast! Evening meal delicious too! Peaceful setting with great lighting for evening poolside or restaurant relaxing. Wonderful live music one night. Loved seeing monkeys up close!
