Land Conservation

Mauna Loa Surf Resort protects 2 acres of land, which represents 80% of its property. No further construction will occur in this area.

Recycling Program
Mauna Loa Surf Resort selects glass, plastic, and aluminum materials for recycling. The separation is performed by staff in the kitchen.

Waste / Toxicity Reduction

Only durable and reusable drinking cups are provided
Shampoos, conditioners, and lotions are placed in re-usable containers and refilled
100% biodegradable soap (laundry detergent, dish soap, and hand/body soap)

Community Programs / Charity
Mauna Loa Surf Resort makes annual financial donations to the Association of Residents of Playa Avellanas.
