Energy Conservation
Energy saving bulbs have been everywhere throughout the hotel since 1998
Laundry is air-dried
All refrigerators have been replaced with energy efficient models
Timers have been placed on swimming pool pumps

Water Conservation
Graywater is used for the gardens
Re-use of towels is recommended to guests
All faucets are surveyed
 
Land Conservation
Approximately 80% (20 acres) of the hotel property is made up of pasture land

Recycling Program
La Mansion recycles plastic, glass, paper, aluminum, and organic. Food leftovers go to the pigs.

Waste/ Toxicity Reduction
Only durable and reusable drinking cups are provided
100% biodegradable soap (laundry detergent, dish soap, and hand/body soap)
Shampoos, conditioners, and lotions are placed in re-usable containers and refilled

Community Programs/Charity
Donations are made to the local school and environmental preservation program
