The Center also features the exceptional "Jewels of the Rainforest' insect exhibition. Renowned entomologist, Dr. Richard Whitten, began this collection when he was only five years old. It is now one of the largest private insect collections anywhere in the world and includes over 1,000,000 specimens, mounted in an innovative format integrating art and natural history, inspiring visitors to appreciate these remarkable creatures from a whole new perspective. Visitors will receive a guided tour to learn about arthropod diversity worldwide. The exhibition is complemented by a screening of Dr. Whitten's exclusive footage of insect life throughout Costa Rica, shown every hour in the Center's cinema auditorium.
