In the small square of Monteverde, visitors will find a newly built bat museum, the women's cooperative called "Casem' and a couple of cafes. Not too far from there is the beautiful Children's Eternal Rainforest, great for day hiking as well as doing a night walk with a knowledgeable guide. Also worth seeing is the Santa Elena Reserve, the Orchid Garden, the insect museums and the Frog Pond.
