Activities in the area are abundant and appeal to every taste. Monteverde is known for its Cheese Factory, which offers daily tours and delicious homemade ice cream. The area is also big on coffee, so visitors can tour several of the coffee farms to learn all about the stages of coffee processing. The Monteverde and Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserves are great places for nature hikes, bird watching, suspension bridge tours and canopy tours.

The dining room of the Monteverde Lodge boasts a cloud forest mural, tropical plants, and contemporary design, making it the perfect setting for enjoying a unique a la carte cuisine. Guests can enjoy the lodge gardens which are rich in ferns, bromeliads, a running stream, pond and small waterfall, all designed to replicate the natural cloud forest setting. Benches allow guests to sit in tranquility as they watch the birds that frequent the gardens. Also, relax in the Jacuzzi for some private time or join friends in the sitting area for some drinks.

The rooms are designed to bring you closer to nature, all within a comfortable and elegant setting. Accommodations include Standard and garden rooms as well as a garden cabin, all spacious with solar heated hot water in the private bathrooms. The large picture window makes for stunning views of the forest.

Standard Room: 2 double beds, larger room, sitting area, bathtub.

Garden Room: 1 double bed. Located below the restaurant and bar area, much smaller than the standard room.  Direct access to the outside garden area

Thanksgiving Dinner 2009

On November 26th the hotel is offering a "Thanksgiving Dinner". The cost for the dinner is $63.45 USD + 23% tax ($78 USD per person) additional to the regular rate. Rates applies for all guests.

Christmas and New Year 2009-2010

On Christmas night and New Year's Eve the hotel is offering a mandatory "Special Dinner". The cost for the Christmas dinner is $63.45 USD + 23% tax ($78 USD per person ) and the cost for the New Year's Eve dinner is $69.11 USD + 23% tax ($84 USD per person) aditional to the regular rate. Free for children under 5 years old.

If you are planning to stay on this dates please remember to add the above amount to the regular rate. Mandatory breakfast rate is included from December 15th 2009 to January 4th 2010.
