Hotel Las Orquideas is situated in Monteverde, in the province of Puntarenas. Monteverde is known for the American Quaker settlers that established the town in the 1950's and still play a major role in the community today. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is an outstanding primary cloud forest with a network of trails allowing for excellent bird watching and plant exploration.
While in the area, be sure to enjoy the butterfly gardens and insect museums for a closer look at the little creatures that call this area home. Also great to visit is the Serpentarium, which houses some of the most common snakes in the country as well as the Frog Pond with its varied collection of frogs. For an adrenaline rush, try the canopy tour or an off-road ATV tour through rivers and mountain trails.
Las Orquideas is a small, family run hotel with eight quaint rooms. Views from the hotel include a dry, intermediate and wet forest, two large waterfalls, the Pacific coast and the Nicoya Peninsula. The hotel is constructed of rich, golden wood, lending to its warm and comfortable feel. All rooms are light and airy with fantastic views of the surrounding nature. Rooms include orthopedic mattresses, wood paneling and private bathrooms with a hot shower. Throughout the day, guests are welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen to prepare their meals.

Children 10 and older are considered adults 1 child under 9 is free however if there are 2 children under 9 then they will be charged the price of 1 adult which is $12 per night.
