"Here we got to feed wild white faced monkeys. Phenomenal. They look right in your eyes before they take the food gently from your hand and then they kind of chirp as if to say thank you. So wonderful. Zip line at the hotel was the best I have been on for scenery as you travel back and forth across the mountain with the valley out there for a view. And how much better can you get than having a sloth hanging on the zip line platform. Awesome."

"Our stay at the Ficus Hotel couldn’t have been better. I danced a “happy dance” when we walked to our cabin in the trees; who could have dreamed of being able to stay among the trees but yet be within walking distance of the town? It was absolutely beyond my wildest dreams. And then, the staff was incredibly wonderful. They even helped us to feed the monkeys! We so enjoyed talking with the staff members as they were so helpful and sincere. We learned a lot about life in Costa Rica from them. "

"We thought we would get a room in the trees but ended up in some new (and nice) units up the hill a bit. It was about a 5 min walk down to the resturant/recpetion etc. Nice enough though."

"Nice hotel. We were up on the hill in a newer room. It was extremely nice, but I would have liked being in the rooms closer to the restaurant and office. They had more atmosphere, and monkey's were close to the rooms. We had a scorpion on our floor that night. That provided a little excitement for us that we hadn't planned. We are not used to scorpions where we come from. "
