Casa de Amor is located 8km from the town of Santa Elena and 4km from the Monteverde Reserve there are resturants about 2km from Casa de Amor.  However the property of Casa de Amor also has a separate main house where Janet, Michael and young Elan live. Michael and Janet offer guests home cooked meal and will go out of their way to make the stay in Monteverde a memorable experience.

Besides a quiet and peaceful location Casa de Amor alows guests to experience a side of Monteverde that very few visitors have the opportunity to experience.  Janet and Micheael have lived in Monteverde for 3 years and are part of a resident community.  The Rio Shanti spa and wellness center is joint venture of Janet and Michael so guests of Casa de Amor can easily schedule massage and yoga sessions during their stay at Casa de Amor in Monteverde.
