"Cabanas Los Pinos was wonderful. The cabin was new and missing a few necessities in the cooking area. We loved that they had hydrophonic gardens and that we were able to pick items for a salad at no charge. The young man at the check in location was extemely nice and helpful. The cabin was clean and beautiful. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend this destination to anyone. Way beyond our expectations."

"Very nice. I was shocked that Pinos were Pine Trees - not pineapple trees. We loved the hydroponic garden there, and the view right out to the Pacific Ocean. Helpful staff too. It is high up, so you do have to be quite healthy to walk the grounds to your cabin."

"Wow! Can't say enough how beautiful these cabins were and how friendly & helpful the staff were! We had 4 different cabins, one being a family cabin that had 3 bedrooms with their own baths and an elongated kitchen, table and sofa area was a great meeting spot for our multigenerational family of 17. The grounds were beautiful and the staff helped us organize tours and made recommendations. There are 2 small resturants easily walkable at the end of the cabin complex entrance and others nearby if you were willing to explore. "

"This was one of our favorites. Although it was not fancy (it was a cabin), it was large, clean, well equipped and even had a patio for the afternoon wine. The hydroponic garden was amazing and we fixed an entire dinner with it and other local food!"

"We didn't expect the various accommodations in Santa Elena/Monteverde to be this close together but thought they, especially the cabins, would be a bit more secluded. But we liked Cabanas Los Pinos for its spacious grounds where you can go for little walks (spotted our first Blue-crowned Motmot) or pick your own vegetables from the greenhouses. "

"It was weird, even though we had 3 bedrooms it was claustrophobic because when it rained (poured) there was no covered porch to sit on. You had to stay inside. Every other hotel had a covered balcony or porch so you weren't destined to stay inside."

"Cabanas Los Pinos was great. We had a Family Cabin unit that was perfect for 3 couples. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The hotel has a HUGE green house, and we were told to help ourselves to vegetables and herbs for any meals we were cooking. We even stayed an extra night to enjoy the Monteverde region for another day."

Hotel Cabanas Los Pinos

From the hotel, guests have easy access to all that this area has to offer, including hiking, horseback riding, canopy tours, suspension bridges, frog ponds, butterfly gardens and the opportunity to view the flora and fauna of this unique Monteverde climate.

The Cabins, spaced apart so each can boast a private, intimate setting, can accommodate between 2 and 6 people. They are surrounded by landscaped gardens and natural forests. After a day's adventure, relax in the beautiful gardens and enjoy a cup of coffee in your fully furnished cabin. Guests can find one to three bedroom cabins equipped with a kitchen, dining room, up to three private bathrooms and bedrooms, hot water and a parking area.
