Most travelers who visit this destination are lured by the Manuel Antonio National Park, a place filled with abundant wildlife, humid tropical forests, and white-sand crescent beaches. Activities abide both inside the park and in the adjoining areas. There are white-water rafting trips, bird watching and canopy tours, hiking trails and horseback rides, amongst many other adrenaline-pumping excursions. Manuel Antonio is well equipped with fine restaurants, bars, and artisan shops. The town of Quepos is nearby and offers a similar array of entertainment options, though the best is undoubtedly the great sport fishing available off the coast.

The Mirador del Pacifico is a little slice of paradise - set amongst the hills in the lush rainforest near the Pacific Ocean, the hotel encompasses 14,000 square meters of property, included primary forests where a wide variety of untouched flora and fauna exist.  The hotel’s elevation gives it good views of the ocean and surrounding countryside, and the breeze keeps guests comfortable during the day and night. However, it is 4 kilometers to the beach, a fact that isn’t too bad considering that buses stop every half hour in front of the hotel to take you there.  If guests feel like hiking, there are trails leading away from the hotel that are pleasant to walk on.

The Mirador del Pacifico hosts a variety of palm-thatched villas and apartments, some which overlook a swimming pool and Jacuzzi surrounded by lounge chairs and leafy, green plants, and others that peer directly into the jungle. All rooms are decorated with subtle brown colors and polished hardwood floors. Perched above the verdant ground and built with tree trunks running through the architecture, the villas feel more like a tree house than anything. The Mirador del Pacifico also has its own restaurant, the Bambu Jam, which is well known and respected for its international cuisine. The Bambu Jam also has delicious breakfasts, and better yet, live music and ample dancing space.
