Santa Teresa is situated at the meeting point of a vibrant, biologically diverse jungle and some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches. The beach here is calm and attractive, with white-sand that stretches for miles and an ocean that invites a variety of water sports. In fact, this area has some of the best surfing in the region, as the waves come in all sizes and are perfect for every skill level. In town there are surf schools that can help beginners, giving the guidance and confidence necessary for riding the waves. The town itself is very active, with all kinds of restaurants and shops, and a nightlife that often stretches into the wee hours of the morning. Of course, there is an assortment of tour companies in town that can help arrange outings such as horseback rides, canopy tours, and fishing trips that guests will surely enjoy. The Cabo Blanco National Park is nearby as well, providing visitors with access to an assortment of forest trails that hold the promise of spotting monkeys, iguanas, butterflies, and even armadillos.

Casa Marbella is a boutique hotel perched on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Needless to say, the view from here is awesome, with sunsets that are acclaimed as being some of the best in the area.  The hotel itself is small and quaint, decorated with Spanish architecture and fitted to couples or small groups on vacation. Every room has an ocean view and is equipped with balconies and patios that are adorned with chairs and hammocks. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. They include air-conditioning, a kitchen, and an in-room safe. Perhaps best of all, the infinity-edged swimming pool is only steps away from the rooms, built into a tile courtyard that looks out on the undulating ocean. The owners and staff are personable, knowledgeable, and glad to assist guests with questions or help in arranging activities. The unprecedented beauty of the natural surroundings blend seamlessly with the comfort of the hotel, making Casa Marbella an ideal place to stay while visiting the Santa Teresa area.
