Set amongst 46 hectares of protected area, the landscape at Waterfalls Canopy is gorgeous - transitional rainforest grows along steep slopes as large trees reach their branches high into the sky. The tour begins with a short walk through the property, during which the guide will explain the flora and fauna of the surrounding area. The canopy platforms begin near waterfalls and extend into the forest. In total, there are 13 platforms and 7 cables, which vary in length. There is also a 3-story tree house, which sits 100 ft. above the ground, making it the highest point along the tour. Here you'll have the opportunity to search for scarlet macaws, white-faced capuchin monkeys, toucans, and Morpho butterflies. More cables lead to the Tarzan Swing and suspension bridge, as well as a 90-ft. rappel down to the forest floor at the end.
This is a two-hour tour. It is offered daily at 8 AM, 11 AM and 2 PM, although night tours can also be arranged.
What to bring: camera, long pants, and secure shoes.
