Located in the fertile highlands of Costa Rica's central valley, Café Britt has been running plantation tours since 1991. This tour includes visits to both the coffee plantation and roastery, where you''ll watch workers and learn the art of professional coffee tasting.
The Classic Britt Coffee Tour
During the tour you will be accompanied by expert guides who are knowledgeable, personable, and good-humored accompany you during the whole tour. You'll learn about sustainable growing practices as well as the special role that coffee plays in Costa Rica's social and economic spheres. The tour ends with a visit to the well-stocked gift store, where you'll have the opportunity to purchase fresh bags of coffee. You can also choose to have lunch at the on-site restaurant, Don Prospero, which serves up fresh and tasty Costa Rican cuisine.
This tour lasts 1.5 hours. It is appropriate for both tour groups and individuals. There is some walking involved but the route can be navigated by people of all ages and physical abilities.
