Out of Bounds Hotel is nestled into the Escazú Mountains in the Central Valley of Costa Rica. Two airports are within a 20-minute drive, and the Irazú, Barva and Poás volcanoes can be spotted in the distance.
While staying in this area, visitors often make trips to the highlands to explore the three volcanoes or go hiking in the Braulio National Park. The hotel itself is close to three golf courses, a shopping mall, business center, and a number of international restaurants, including Indian, Chinese, Peruvian and Italian cuisine. Out of Bounds is a boutique hotel that specializes in comfort and hospitality. The rooms are simple and quaint, tastefully decorated with local artisan work, hardwood floors and comfortable bedding. They are spacious, clean, and painted in shades of white and tan. Each features an outdoor sitting area with rocking chairs, as well as air-conditioning, cable TV, wireless internet, and a private hot water bathroom. The hotel looks out on the beautiful Central Valley, with views of the Irazú, Barva and Poás volcanoes in the distance.
A complimentary breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30 on the hotel’s terrace every morning. Guests can choose between “typical” breakfasts, which include gallo pinto, eggs, toast, coffee and juice, American style breakfasts, which include eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon, coffee and juice, or the Continental option, which comes with cereal, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. Additionally, there is a community microwave, eating utensils, iron and ironing board, BBQ, and fire pit which guests are invited to use free of charge.
