With 103,290 acres (41,800 ha) of dense tropical rainforest, Corcovado National Park is one of Costa Rica's largest national parks. The park and surrounding conservation area is one of the richest regions of biodiversity in all of the Americas. Roughly 10% of all the mammal species that exist in the Americas are inhabitants of this rugged rainforest on the Osa Peninsula.
