The two-hour float begins with pick up from the Arenal area hotels and a short drive to the Penas Blancas river. The guides will talk about and hopefully help you to observe the habits and environments of forest creatures such as opossums, sloths, long-nosed bats, howler monkeys, spectacled owl, caimans, and birds such as the crowned night heron. One of the most powerful things that you will encounter is the sounds that pulse all around you from the river banks to the tree tops above.
To complete a unique experience you can choose between a delicios chocolate tasting, delight your palate with costarican flavors in a typical dinner or relaxe yourself in a forest bath with aromatherapy, sourounded by the peace of the nature songs.
Attraction Visited
Known as the "white water gem of Costa Rica's Atlantic slope", the Penas Blancas River runs right through the Tilaran Mountain Range in north central Costa Rica. It then converges with the San Carlos River east of the Arenal Volcano.
