Road Bike around Lake Arenal Details
The trip will begin with a trail across the Arenal Dam, traveling along the north side of the beautiful Arenal Lake. Guests will enjoy a relaxing ride through tropical forests where they'll have a chance to see monkeys and colorful birds. This biking trip will also allow you to experience Costa Rica's rural life at its best.
At the end of the trip, the group will stop for lunch at a typical restaurant. After lunch, you can enjoy a boat trip across the lake, indulging in the impressive views of the active volcano on your way back to your hotel.
Distance: 18 km to 35 km/11 to 22 miles
Altitude gain: 265 m/870 ft
Terrain: rolling hills, paved road with a few short sections of gravel
Difficulty: beginner-intermediate
Departure: 8 am from La Fortuna, returning between 2 and 3 pm
