Rafting Toro River Class III -IV

The Toro River offers some of Costa Rica&s best rafting, with big waves, technical rapids and continuous whitewater. This trip is full of nonstop class 3 and 4 rapids that will challenge even the most experienced rafters.

The journey begins with a scenic drive through the eastern portion of central Costa Rica. The group will travel through the beautiful pineapple, papaya and yucca fields, with Volcano Arenal set in the backdrop. Upon reaching the destination, the trained, skilled guides will review the rules and safety guidelines for the river. Then the group will take the plunge and head down river.

You will enjoy the spectacular scenery and a thrilling ride. Halfway through the journey, the group will "re-fuel' on the river bank and enjoy some delicious tropical fruit while soaking in the tropical surroundings. At the end of the journey, the group will indulge in ice cold refreshments, followed by a typical Costa Rican lunch, filled with gallo pinto and fresh fruit.

The goal is to offer the most professional and highest quality rafting experience available. Only top of the line river rafting equipment is utilized to ensure your safety and comfort. Guests will certainly appreciate the qualified, friendly staff that does everything it can to ensure you have the most memorable rafting adventure.

Pick up time is between 8:00 AM and 8:30, depending on which hotel you are staying at. The tour is recommended for children 12 years and older.

About Toro River

Collecting its headwaters from the Poas Volcano, the Toro River heads straight for Costa Rica's northern border before turning east and reaching the Caribbean Sea's northeastern coast. The river runs through densely forested canyons, making for a truly spectacular setting.
