"Unfortunately, due to the river conditions, we were not able to raft on the Rio Toro River since the water level was too high. We rafted on the Sarapique river instead, but the rafting company did a great job in making sure we were aware of the change in plans and made sure we agreed to the changes. This tour was still one of the highlights of this trip."

"This was our favorite! Gerald, our guide, was great! So nice and so funny! They were very concerned with our safety and yet not too stuffy. The lunch we had at a local restaurant was soooo good and Gerald told us that it was just everyday food in Costa Rica. We loved it! They also stopped at an Iguana preserve on the way and we got to get out and take pictures and pet some!"

"It's a bit more wild than in the states. "Riding the bull" and boucing around made it the most exciting raft trip we've been on even though the level is the same as those we've done in the Smoky Mountains and Colorado. Be prepared."

"Loved his sense of humor and knowledge of rafting. I especially appreciated when he pulled my husband BACK into the raft after he was thrown out in the rapids. This could have ruined the trip, but it didn't. Our guide did a great job showing he had it "all under control", allowing us to relax."

" I can't even describe how wonderful the rafting trip was. It made the whole trip worth while. There staff was wonderful and we felt very safe the whole time.. Would recommend the adventure to anyone. My only suggestion to those that are out of shape is to leave a day between this and the Canyon Trekking. My body was sore and tired the next day and a days break between the two adventures would have been nice. Everyone needs to do this!"

"Because of the lack of water, we had to go to a different river than was originally planned. However, this was not an issue as our guides were fun and the trip to and from Arenal to the river and back was interesting. The time on the river was a BLAST!!!!! and our guides were nice to look at as well as being expert and careful."
