Combination Lake Kayaking and Biking

This 5-hour tour combines two adventure sports into one day. You'll begin your outing with a two-hour kayak trip on Lake Arenal, during which you'll visit several islands and search for a number of creatures, including osprey, kingfishers, howler and spider monkeys, coatis and sloths. The lake - which is the largest in all of Costa Rica - affords spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano, which is still active and often emits eruptions of lava down its rocky sides.

Once your kayak adventure is over, you'll refuel with water and snacks before heading off on your mountain bike. You'll be led along natural trails and through traditional Costa Rican neighborhoods, and will cross several small rivers.

This tour lasts 5 hours. You'll go 6 km on kayak and 16 km on bike. This tour requires at least of two participants and a minimum age of at least 12 years old.

What to bring:
water clothes and shoes, water bottle, insect repellent, flashlight, towel, and camera.  
Tour includes: snacks, water, and transportation from the general Arenal area.
