Set at the base of the magnificent Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna provides visitors with an array of activity – waterfalls, white-water rafting, boating on Lake Arenal, canopy tours and more await travelers to this area. And of course, looming impressively over the whole landscape is the Arenal Volcano—visitors may be able to spot smoke, or better yet, lava, flowing from the top of the volcano.
Hotel San Bosco is a wonderful, two-story hotel set in the heart of La Fortuna. Only a block away from the town’s main street, all of the amenities of La Fortuna are within walking distance. However, the hotel has several enticing features of its own, including two swimming pools (one for adults and one for kids), a Jacuzzi, fitness room, and an observation deck on the top floor of the hotel.
The rooms at Hotel San Bosco are clean and simply adorned with tile floors, stone walls, and outdoor verandas. All rooms include private hot water bathrooms, ceiling fans, and wireless internet. Other rooms come equipped with air-conditioning, cable TV, and a small refrigerator. A long veranda lined with benches sits outside all of the rooms, providing guests with a wonderful place to relax while at the hotel.
A full, free breakfast is offered every morning, and coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Local calls are also free, as is use of the hotel’s safe, which is set in the reception area.
