"Arenal Lodge was lovely. The gardens and views were gorgeous. The rooms were nice and clean, but could use a bit more furniture to store luggage. Outdoor furniture around the rooms would also be nice to sit outside and enjoy the view from the rooms. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Service was very friendly and overall value was very good."

"It rained every night we were there. We stayed four nights. The restaurant was very nice, the bar had a pretty view, we used the hot tub, and I used the tread mill everyday. I even walked up the mountain one day. I'm really into exercise. We did the free horseback ride and free nature walk. We loved both. The guide was fabulous and had so much knowledge. We never would have seen what we did without him pointing stuff out. He took his time to make sure we saw everything and even helped with the picture taking. He was excellent, a great find!!! I would dedfinitely recomend your hotel except I would have spent the few extra dollars to get a better room. I was disapointed in the room. Every other place we stayed had a great view and a beautiful porch of our own. I really didn't realize when looking at the pictures on the internet where this room was. That is my fault. Due to the rain our towels never seemed to be dry. Again, not your fault. The staff members did a surperb job helping us in any way possible. We had some clothes cleaned and others put in the dryer due to the humity. We did manage to do many activities from the waterfalls, hot springs, swinging bridges, volcano, going in town and a day on a boat ride looking at birds. Someone arranged all our activities and that was great! It just rained a lot the days we were there, but again it all worked out. I would definitely recommend your hotel for all the extras like the nature trail and horseback riding, gym, etc. I just would tell people to spend the extra money and get a nicer room with a porch and view!"

Explore the surroundings on horseback or rent a bike and ride around the enormous lake through the verdant hillside. The Junior Suites, some of which have a bathtub, offer a view of the Arenal volcano and pristine rainforest from a private balcony, while the Chalets, equipped with a kitchenette, overlook the gardens, volcano and the lake. The Matrimonial Suite has a hot tub, private terrace, sitting room and a kitchenette. The Master Suite, the lodge finest accommodation, boasts a sky-lighted and plant-lined bathroom, a private balcony and a kitchenette. Family Suites have private bedrooms, cable TV, and have a bathtub.
