We WERE really impressed with everything we saw and experienced! We saw and did so many things, such varied scenery and countryside! We ziplined in Monteverde, that was a thrill! I did come home with several bruises from crashing into a couple of trees at the end of a line when I couldn't quite slow down enough in time, ha! Mal Pais was quite an experience, too, from watching the surfers during the day, to dodging the crabs on the road at night while we were walking to restaurants and listening to the howler monkeys at night!) We all agreed that the food everywhere was SO good, and it was fun to talk to the people who ran the restaurants and hear their stories. We were glad, too, that Laura's Spanish has gotten so good, most everyone spoke English, but some did not, of course, and we would have had a hard time communicating without her! All the hotels were very nice, but the Hotel Silencio del Campo in Arenal was our VERY favorite! What a BEAUTIFUL place, the flowers and the grounds, and the people who worked there were so helpful and genuinely friendly - we really wished we could have stayed longer there. All in all, it was the trip of a lifetime! Now back to the everyday real world! Thanks again, Darlene
