Anywhere Costa Rica Sustainability Mission
We wish to support tourism activities that have a minimal impact on the natural environment and strengthen local communities. Through responsible tourism, we can help to ensure that Costa Rica will remain a healthy ecotourism destination for many years to come.
The Anywhere Costa Rica site offers a comprehensive selection of travel services. However, wherever possible, we are seeking to build resources that empower the prospective travel with sustainability information and choices. Beyond the features of our website, we employ a local Costa Rican staff, and our Anywhere Costa Rica offices have implemented on-site measures to reduce water consumption, conserve energy, and recycle wastes. Some of basic steps include: turning off all electronics at night, lighting with energy efficient fluorescent light bulbs, using biodegradable cleaning products, minimizing paper usage.
We also take a proactive role in our surrounding community. Currently, we are working with a committee of hotels and community members in La Fortuna to help initiate a community recycling program. In the past, we have made contributions to community programs such as the Huelas de Costa Rica, sponsoring student scholarship programs through the Monteverde Conservation Association, the Commission of Environmental Education of Monteverde CAEM, the local Orphanage of La Fortuna, Habitat for Humanity and the Monteverde Music Festival. Our staff works as volunteers in La Fortuna’s annual charity fundraiser Huellas de Costa Rica. Additionally, we seek to help preserve the country’s amazing natural habitats through contributions to Costa Rica’s flagship “Payment for Environmental Services” Program, in which locals are offered regular financial compensation for conserving their natural land.
By providing sustainable tourism website features, implementing green office practices, and assisting community programs, our company hopes to promote a sustainable environment for the benefit of Costa Ricans and visitors alike. Dear Royner, Thank you very much for planning a wonderful trip! Each tour and hotel was perfect in its own way. All the drivers and tour guides were right on time or early. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. The only problem we had was the foggy weather in Arenal that prevented us from flying to Quepos. Nature Air hired a driver to take us to Quepos, but we had a flat tire on the way and the driver did not have a spare. A jogger passed by and directed us to a nearby car repair shop and then we were on our way. My sister and I enjoyed your beautiful country, and all the Ticos were very hospitable and wonderful. Hi Katia, Our trip to Costa Rica was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed every stop on our journey. All of the hotels were excellent - each in a unique way. We mostly wanted to thank you for your help in putting it all together. Everything ran smooth as a top. Every "in route" transportation was excellent - always on time and always got us to where we needed to be without a glitch. The private transport is always a treat however, even the gray line shuttles were quite excellent. I actually enjoyed talking to the other travelers. We just relaxed and waited for some to tell us where to go when switching transports. The drivers always assisted with our luggage and made sure we were comfortable. Every tour was great. The tours were always on time and were a good value for the price. We also always felt safe. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and well informed- just like you. Michael and I felt like we had a friend (AnywhereCostaRica.com) just a phone call or email away. Needless to say, we find ourselves thinking of Cost Rica often and trying to figure our when we can come back. Thank you for sharing this wonderful slice of "Pura Vida" with us. Hi Alfonso! Thank you very much for all of your help in planning our trip! We had an amazing time in Costa Rica!! Arenal Maona was a beautiful hotel. The grounds were just beautiful! We loved the Tabacon Hot Springs and the La Fortuna Waterfall. Unfortunately, the volcano had a cloud covering the time we were there, but it was still beautiful. We loved the Sky Tram, Trek, and Ziplining through the Cloud Forest in Monte Verde. We even saw the black howler monkeys! Manuel Antonio was beautiful. The beaches in the National Park were awesome. We saw the Capuchin monkeys there. White water rafting was super fun too! Hotel Playa Espadilla was a great hotel and it was the perfect location to the National Park and the beach!! Yuliana, Hi, We returned from our trip this past weekend and I wanted to send you a note, as promised, on how things went. We were very pleased with the arrangements you made for us. Everything went according to plan, all transportation and reservations were right on, and we never worried about anything. The hotels you suggested were great and met all of our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the three main properties you arranged. The Adventure Hotel in Alajuela we really cant judge as we spent only several hours there, although the staff was very friendly and attentive. As this was our first trip to Costa Rica we wanted to experience as much as we could in our short 10 day stay and I think we did that, I must add that the meals we enjoyed were fantastic no matter where we went. I miss the Costa Rican cooking already. Again thanks for your assistance planning our trip we will certainly recommend you to anyone we hear of traveling your way. Bob
